Mortal Kombat II for the SNES, a home port of Mortal Kombat II for the Arcade was released in the United States, Europe and Japan in 1994. The game featured all the same characters and backgrounds as the arcade, scaled down to run on the less powerful SNES hardware.

Unlike Mortal Kombat for SNES, this game does not feature censored fatalities or the altered blood appearance in the United States and Europe. However, some censorship still occurred with the Japanese version of the game. In that version, all characters had green blood instead of red and when a Fatality was performed, the screen's color would fade and the fatality would happen in black and white.

Below are some glitches unique to this version of the game.

Bike Kick Crash

When fighting as Liu, make sure your opponet is Cage. Do a Shadow Uppercut with Cage. At the highest point , do Liu's bike kick. If timed right the game will crash and Liu's sound will loop for a little while.

Kitana's Fan Toss lift

Do a fan throw in the air, and before you land, start doing the motion for the fan lift and hit the last B, HP on the ground. If done right, you will do a lift and the opponet should be stuck in a "ground freeze" animation. However this works best on the cpu since it is blockable.

TUG Glitch

Can only be done with Johnny Cage or Shang Tsung. Causes an invisible hit and if you are Shang Tsung, you can get projectiles stuck in air. Also creates crazy combos, mostly blockable though, but some aren't.

  1. As Cage (of if Shang morph into Cage) stand on one side of the screen and your opponet on the other.
  2. Start throwing High Fireballs until they dissappear, usually after 2.
  3. Do a Shadow Kick or Shadow Uppercut. If done right the Shadow will appear higher than Cage's sprite creating a invisible hit.
  4. (If you are Shang Tsung) When he unmorphs, stay as Shang or morph into Liu, Reptile, Sub, Kitana, Mileena, Baraka, Scorpion or Raiden and throw a projectile. (It only works with their projectile because as Kung Lao or Jax it'll send the projectile through and as Cage it'll only remove the invisible hit.) If you like to see, you can AFTER unmorphing morphing into Raiden to see his teleport go crazy or Kung Lao and see the aura from the spin be where the Shadow Kick was done.
