Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for SNES was an upgraded version of Mortal Kombat 3 for SNES.

Differences from the Arcade

  • Lower quality graphics and audio.
  • Sheeva is no longer a regularly selectable character.
  • Noob Saibot was made a playable character and given moves the computer controlled Noob Saibot of UMK3 for the Arcade did not have.
  • Rain was added as an actual character.
  • Character names are no longer announced.
  • Animalities are removed.
  • Gameplay is only a rough approximation of the arcade gameplay.

Glitches

Sheeva Glitch (Invisi-Sheeva)

Sheeva was removed from the game, however only her graphics were removed (to save space). If you choose to do an 8 on 8 match and random select, you will sometimes get a question mark box instead of a character portrait. When this happens you will use an invisible Sheeva. She is exceptionally fast and the game becomes unstable when she is being used.
